Materials & Additional Expenses
Required Materials:
Students are required to provide their own device (iPad for K-1 and a Chromebook or laptop for 2-12) and headphones. We also recommend a durable backpack with added protection for transporting a device, a plastic pencil box, a separate lunch box, and a computer mouse (grades 2-12). Headphones and mice can be wireless or have wires, but please check for compatibility with the device.
Other Possible Expenses:
1) Students will participate in numerous learning experiences outside of the classroom. While the school will provide transportation and costs for multiple field trips per semester, some additional field trips will require an extra fee. Parents will be notified of any additional costs related to field trips at least one week in advance.

2) Students will be encouraged to pursue individual projects that interest them. While most materials and equipment will be provided, please note that for projects requiring resources significantly more expensive than the norm, students may be responsible for covering the additional costs. We will help students estimate expenses and seek alternatives when possible.

3) Families will be responsible for registration fees and travel expenses (if necessary) for students who choose to participate in academic contests and extra-curricular activities.

4) Families will be responsible for additional tuition for high school courses taken in the 7th or 8th grade (typically $200 or $300 per course).
